Shipping

ORDERING:
Orders may be placed online 24-hours a day, by calling (252) 515-7898 between 10am - 6pm EST or by sending an email to cs@homebythesound.com. Please do not include your credit card information in any email. A Home by the Sound representative will contact you via phone during our regular business hours for processing.

If your order includes In Stock items, this means it is in stock with the manufacturer or is in stock at Home by the Sound facilities. Accepted orders will begin processing ASAP. Orders shipping directly from a manufacture's warehouse will typically ship within 1-4 business days. Requests to expedite orders may be sent to cs@homebythesound.com or calling (252) 515-7898. Expedite order fees may apply at the discretion of our manufactures and will be added to your order total if applicable. We will first contact you for approval if expedite fees will apply to your order.

Orders that contain multiple items may ship from different locations. You will receive an email with tracking information once each item or group of items is shipped.

If your item is being delivered with an oversize or white glove freight carrier, please thoroughly inspect your item before signing for the delivery. Damages or defects or missing items must be noted on the receipt with the carrier. If the receipt from the carrier is signed and issues are not notated, Home by the Sound is not responsible for any defects or damages found after delivery is completed.

DELIVERY TO THE LOWER 48 US STATES:
All orders qualify for Free Shipping with delivery to an address within the 48 contiguous states.
Depending on size and contents parcels ship via UPS, USPS, FedEx or DHL.

DELIVERY TO ALASKA AND HAWAII:
Parcels shipping to Alaska and Hawaii must be quoted prior to order acceptance. Please email order requests to cs@homebythesound.com or call (252) 515-7898.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES:
Parcels shipping internationally must be quoted prior to order acceptance. Please email order requests to cs@homebythesound.com or call (252) 515-7898.

Returns

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Returns for the following reasons will be charged up to $75 per returned item to cover original and return shipping costs. Final return fees will be calculated based on the actual shipping costs not to exceed $75 per item.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you return shipping instruction along with a return label if applicable. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Items shipped by freight carriers must be reported within 5 days.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items may not be returnable such as custom products, special orders or made to order items. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please know it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund to your account. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at cs@homebythesound.com.
